Women in Forests and Timber Network

Women in Forests and Timber Network QLD (WFTN) is a forum for women in the timber and forestry industry to meet, exchange ideas and ensure their voices are heard.

The Women in Forests and Timber Network QLD (WFTN) aims to recognise the contributions of the women in the forestry and timber industries, to celebrate their achievements and to support their access to skills and professional-development opportunities.

The WFTN Queensland Chapter has a proud history of hosting successful professional industry events where both women and men can network, form working relationships and socialise outside of their organisations.

WFTN hosts quarterly breakfasts and the Chapter also has a strong focus on community outreach through fundraising efforts and charity events. In the past WFTN has worked with organisations such as Brisbane Domestic Violence Service and Micah Projects, Destiny Rescue and Friends with Dignity to assist through donations women who are disadvantaged or exploited. Each year WFTN works with a chosen charity to support their cause through fundraising and awareness activities.
