The Toro STX-38 EFI stump grinder is built for outstanding durability in the toughest conditions.
The Toro STX-38 EFI fully hydraulic operation means no chance of expensive belts breaking or slipping and no tension adjustments. It comes with tracks instead of wheels, which provides a large footprint, low centre of gravity and exceptional stability.
The machine can operate in wet, muddy, hilly and soft terrain and tyre ruts and flat tyres are eliminated. The track design climbs curbs and allows for zero-turn capability.
An electronic fuel-injected engine (EFI) offers easy starting, reduced maintenance and maximum performance and reliability.
“The cutter head on the STX-38 allows for chip management below grade. The chip guard on the underside of the grinder head assembly is raised and cut back to make more room for chips under the head. This also reduces instances of the guard digging into the ground at deeper grinding depths,” said Brian Goodridge, Toro Equipment Product Marketing Manager.
“The STX-38 comes with an Intelli-Sweep feature, which will adjust the sweep speed. The speed at which you’re moving the cutting wheel across the stump is based on how much load is being applied to the wheel. So if it feels the wheel slowing down because your depth is putting too much resistance on the wheel, it will actually slow down the sweep speed. It automatically adjusts for the operator to maintain the cutting wheel performance,” said Goodridge.
The STX-38 is only 86 cm wide and will easily fit through most gates. Best of all, ground speeds of 8 km/h allow you to spend more time grinding and less time transporting the machine for greater productivity.
