Employers, workers, unions and industry experts are being encouraged to have their say on changes to the NSW Work Health and Safety (WH&S) Regulation (the Regulation).
The Regulation sets out detailed rules and requirements to support the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, such as managing risks, workplace procedures and safety measures for all industries.
The remake of the Regulation provides the NSW Government with an opportunity to improve, modernise and streamline the WH&S Regulation. Public consultation will assist in making sure that changes to the WH&S Regulation remain relevant to current work practices. The consultation process is an opportunity for feedback on both the nationally harmonised elements of the Regulation, as well as those that are NSW specific.
Your feedback will help ensure the Regulation continues to reflect industry needs, protects workers and keeps the community safe.
The Work Health and Safety Regulation Remake Discussion Paper is available for review and comment on the NSW Government Have Your Say platform and will inform any necessary amendments to the Regulation.
Consultation is open from February 04, 2025 and closes March 04, 2025. To Have Your Say visit haveyoursay.nsw.gov.au.
